Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The hotel is very new and polished. The staffs there were amazing, so accommodative especially during breakfast. Maybe because it's a bit empty when we went hence they were extra attentive to the ones that were there. The breakfast selection was commendable, Chinese corner, Indian corner, salad fridge. Our requests were tended to very fast, when our fridge didn't turn on properly (turns our the wire was not plugged in, regrettably found out that it was tucked safely behind the fridge 🤦🏻‍♀️) and they replaced it with an entirely new fridge eventhough they could've just kindly plugged it in for us 😅 Bed was extra comfortable, great after exploring the city for 10 straight hours. The smart TV allowed us to log onto Netflix but also the existing channels selection were quite extensive.
Negative: First and foremost, the location. It was partly our fault as we underestimated the traffic in Jakarta. We thought 8km to Grand Indonesia was normal but in fact got in trouble with our driver as he advised us to book somewhere closer to central if we came again. This made us lose much more time in a day in traffic than exploring the city. Second, we booked an appointment for a massage at the spa but regrettably it wad a bit underwhelming. The therapists were amazing, but the fact that the massage had to be done in a hotel room instead of the actual spa due to ongoing renovations made our experience a bit dimmed.
